- Rake through the resume in advance looking for:
- job progression logic
- employment patterns & tenures
- success patterns
- inconsistencies
- incomplete information or explanations
- hallmarks & cogency of his / her presentation on paper.
- Write down questions pertaining to the resume analysis.
Thinking Ahead
- Find my interviewer mind set.
- be prepared to sell our position, our company & myself.
- seek examples when questioning,
- use examples when presenting.
- raise my antennae in search of
- – contradictions
- – avoidance
- – tone
- – body language
- Be prepared to intervene politely to keep the session on track.
- Ensure proper reception for the candidates.
- Organize my handouts for the candidates (possibly to include):
- job description & qualifications
- corporate & product literature
- strategy / positioning statement
- corporate values statement
- Be prepared to answer the tough questions i could face.
